The customer was a Glasgow landlord and his City Centre Apartment had been left in a mess by the previous tenant. The customer required that we be very discreet as he didn't want anyone knowing what a state the apartment had been left in as it wasn't just a cluttered mess there was also a lot of gone off food and bottles and old takeaway packaging that had been left to rot.

We turned up at 7am dressed in plain uniforms so as not to attract attention to ourselves or the house clearance work that we were doing, the apartment was on the first floor so we made sure to bag up all the rubbish first in strong waste bags and take them down the stairs to the unmarked house clearance van that we use. Once the rubbish was all bagged up and removed to the van we took it to the local recycling centre to be disposed of and we made sure to separate all the glass and cardboard to its respective recycling containers.

When we had finished disposing of the waste we made a move back to Glasgow City Centre to the apartment and separated all the reusable items, the landlord who we were doing the clearance for wanted all the stuff that was still useful to go to charity shops so that someone else less fortunate could benefit from it.

The flat was looking much better once we had taken the furniture to the charity shop and removed all the rubbish and detritus to the waste recycling centre. This left just the cleaning to do and our little team of three men set about with much gusto getting the flat back into a re-lettable condition. Vacuuming and dusting first and then washing down the worktops and cleaning the marks on the doors.

After we were finished the landlord met us at the apartment for a visual check said he was very pleased and then we invoiced him and he paid us in full.

If he hadn't been present we have a system where we do a walk around with a video or Facetime so that our customer can see exactly what we have done and make sure its to their satisfaction.

]]><![CDATA[CLUTTERED House Clearance in Blackpool]]>Mon, 07 Sep 2015 15:48:09 GMThttp://www.evergreenpropertyclearance.com/blog/house-clearance-in-blackpoolWe were called to a landlords property clearance job in Blackpool to a house that had been left in a terrible state but no job is too big for Evergreen House Clearance and so we took the task of cleaning the property up with relish and gusto !

The tenant had a dog living there and hadn't let it out for over two years so the flat had dog faeces and urine all over the carpets and furniture believ it or not - check out the images below

As you can see from the images the house was in a terrible state and the stench was awful but we went in and cleared the whole place lock stock and barrel right down to removing the carpets and underlay from the entire house.

we recycled whatever we could as some items were ok and any furniture that was usable was given to a local charity shop. A house clearance like this one in Blackpool is not typical because of the awful state it was in but we will take on any clearance work that our clients have for us.

The job was a fairly standard one for us but it was in a bit of a state as the students had left all their gear at the house and all the rubbish that should've gone outside was still in the house !

Doing a house clearance job in Glasgow is a good one for us as we don't have to travel too far but this particular one turned out to be a bit problematic to say the least as when the van was parked outside we got hit by an uninsured driver and I can tell you we weren't too happy about that. To be honest we didn't know what to do about the accident that was not our fault so we looked online and found an accident management company who could help us out as we needed a new van to finish the job.

So we couldn't get on with the job properly until we got another van and these guys managed to get one to us first thing the next day which meant a stay over for the lads which they were going to do anyway because it was a big property to do the house clearance on. Lucky for the client the new van was bigger than our normal ones so they got more rubbish removed with each trip which saved them some money in the end.

We always enjoy doing house clearance in Glasgow because the lads like to get out in the town at night especially in the West End which they love.

So the van got towed away and this firm who took it and sorted us out with the new van arranged to have the one that got hit by the uninsured driver repaired and they said it should be back with us inside of two weeks which means we get to keep the larger van until then.
